Haidsiak Reunion

July 27 - "On Gottes Segan ist alles gelegen." The Heidsieck motto, and a framed prayer inSwedish "Fader Var in Himmelen" were red as 72 members registered for the annual Haidsiak reunion.

Paul Wilms won the attendance pool. Amon Coleman drew the door prize, a hand-crafted lettered mirror made by Jennifer Hanna.

George Haidsiak gave words of praise and thanksgiving for the good food and all our blessings.

No one attempted to translate the German motto which is "Everything depends on God's blessing." Several were aware of the prayer "Fader Var in Himmelen" (Our Father). The words were in grandma Annie's handwriting.

We will look forward to July 26, 2015 when we meet again in hometown Blockton Community Hall.
