Dugan Reunion

On the beautiful fall day of Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, the descendants of Mayme and Guy Dugan gathered at the beautiful home of Saundra and Bob Barquist and their white poodles, Willey and Walley, in Raytown, Mo for their annual family reunion.

Clauddea Austin said the blessing for the bountiful potluck dinner that was enjoyed by the following members of the family: Joan and Mike Dugan of Diagonal; Mary Ellen Dugan and Betty and Ron Conley all of Mount Ayr; Mildred Austin, Vicki and Gregg Smith and McKennon and Betty and Roley Heath, all of Kansas City, MO; Sharon and Bill Macotte of Parkville, MO; Clauddea and Gene Austin of Owasso, OK; Maritta and Cyril Sumner of Arlington, Texas; Tammy and Jim Fivecoat, Shanna, Devin Jewel and Ruby of Platte City, MO;

Colleen and Ed Minnick, Kylee Minnick and Nicole Minnick, all of Kellerton; Audrey Dugan of Saint Joseph, MO; Antoinette and Tristen Smith and Theo and Max of Lawrence, KS; and, of course, the host and hostess, Saundra and Bob Barquist, Willey and Walley.

The day could not go by without many remembrances of one of their loved ones, Don Austin who had passed before them but would have been celebrating his birthday on this day.

The swimming pool with its many attractions, fun and merriment was the center of attraction for a warm afternoon. Also much visiting and picture taking was done with each departing later in the day on their own travels and home and declaring that again this had been another successful family reunion and all leaving with big hugs and looking forward to another reunion next year.
