The Community Bible Church of Redding was founded late in 1955 with Rev. Dan STUCKY as the first pastor. Rev. STUCKY was followed by Rev. Eldon BOESE, Rev. Robert OSTRANDER, Rev. George NEAL, and Rev. James MAXWELL.

The Rosella Missionary Society was organized in September of 1955 in honor of Rosella COCHRAN, a missionary to French Equatorial Africa.

Members of the congregation included; Gifford and Evelyn KNAPP, Ross and Alice Belle KEITH, Lela B. STEPHENS, Julian and Elsie GALLOWAY, Ivan and Julia BARKER, J. S. and Ollie "Posy" MILLER, Merton and Evalyn KNAPP, Duaine and Merilee KNAPP, Lloyd and Connie COCHRAN, June STEPHENS, Barbara STEVENS, Helen GALLOWAY, Elizabeth GALLOWAY, and Dan STUCKY.

In the fall of 1966, three families of the Community Bible Church, under the leadership of Rev. James MAXWELL, started work at the Regular Baptist Church of Mount Ayr. Rev. Eldon BOESE returned to Redding, assuming the pulpit of the Community Bible Church until 1970 when the church disbanded and joined the Regular Baptist Church, Mount Ayr.
