OAKLAND (a.k.a. SALTZMAN, a.k.a. EGLY) CEMETERY

Oakland (a.k.a. SALTZMAN) Cemetery is located in near Mount Ayr near the intersection of county road 260th Street and 260th Avenue [NE1/4 Sec 22, T69, R31], Poe Township of Ringgold County, Iowa.

This cemetery has also been referred to as the Egly Cemetery. The cemetery was recorded for Ringgold County Historical Society by Betty Ruby and Ruth Haley of Diagonal, Iowa, in 1978; updated in November of 2000 by Rick Wiley of Diagonal, Iowa; and, updated February of 2010 & June 2012 by Sharon R. Becker. Veteran information updated May of 2015 courtesy of Cathy Kilgore, Ringgold County Veteran Affairs; plot location from Raymond Banner's book, Cemetery Gravestone Recordings of Ringgold County.
