Keller Cemetery
Jefferson Township, Ringgold County, Iowa

Benjamin KELLER established the Keller Cemetery on his homestead in 1856. Keller Cemetery is located Jefferson Township, Ringgold County, Iowa; north of Diagonal's Fogle Lake and approximately 1/4 mile east of county road 160th Avenue, [NW 1/4 Section 31, T70, R30],
Keller Cemetery was recorded for Ringgold County Historical Society by
Don and Esther Butt of Diagonal, Iowa, and Arlene Sobotka of Diagonal, Iowa; updated May of 2012 by Tony Mercer.
NOTE: The land is owned by the DNR and driving to the cemetery is restricted.
A path is mown to the cemetery and the cemetery is well kept thanks to donations made by the late Bob Keller. Bob was also instrumental in renovating the cemetery to it's current condition.
NOTE: Rinnggold County Pioneer Cemetery Commission replaced the 'cross' markers with new gravestones. The links identified as "replacement stone" are links to the newly set [2012] gravestones.
Our appreciation goes out to Tony Mercer for this photographic update to Keller Cemetery, and to the Pioneer Cemetery
Commission for their dedicated work.

The Iowa GenWeb Gravestone Photo Project
serves as a photographic archive to honor our ancestors and preserve records of
gravestones that are deteriorating, some even disappearing, through the passage
of time. New contributions are posted as they come in. The link for this
searchable project can be found at:

In the 1930’s the WPA canvassed and
recorded burials in most Iowa Counties. The link for Ringgold County ’s searchable database can be found
