When the railroad bypassed Mammen town, the building in the photo below was moved to Brunsville by Ed Johnson. It was owned and operated as a General Store by Ed. The date on the photograph entered by the photographer is June 19, 1910.
Frederick Wilken operated a grocery store in the 1920s. He handled groceries, meat, and ice cream. He also delivered groceries to farmers in the delivery truck, that is also pictured. At the back of Wilken's home, he had bee hives next to his apple trees and sold honey, too.
