1956 FAMILY REUNION There were 39 people who ate picnic supper at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Tindall, LeMars, last Thursday evening, August 23, when the descendants of the late Warren J. King and their families held their family reunion. Those present beside Mr. and Mrs. Tindall were: Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hawkins and Mr. and Mrs. Norris Hawkins and son, Gregory, of LeMars; Mr. and Mrs. Duane Hawkins and daughters, Pamela and Jill, of Remsen; and Mr. and Mrs. Lorvan Hawkins of Ireton and their niece, Linda Bryans, of Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Roggow and sons, Stanley and Larry, and daughters, Avis and Darlis; and Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Roggow and children, Douglas and Lynnae, all of Burke, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Anderson and Mrs. Johnnie Schuchard and sons, Lonnie and Craig, of Akron; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley W. King and sons, Leslie and Terry, of Merrill; Mr. and Mrs. Vernon C. Ewin and children, Linda, David, and Diana, of LeMars (sic-Seney.) KING DESCENDANTS GATHER FOR FAMILY DINNERS AND REUNION Special – Members of the family of the late Warren King, who lived in the Adaville vicinity, held a family reunion over the weekend. Mr. King’s four daughters, Elva, Ione, Ferne, and Freda and one son, Stanley, and their husbands and wives met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dreezen of rural Akron Saturday evening for dinner. Those present were the hosts, Mr. and Mrs. Dreezen, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hawkins, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Tindall, and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley W. King of LeMars, and Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Roggow of Burke, S.D. Sunday the family had dinner at Hammer’s restaurant, later going to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley King of 234 1st Ave. SE where they were joined by their children and grandchildren. Those who called in the afternoon were: Mr. and Mrs. Duane D. Hawkins and children, Pamela, Jill and Jon Douglas of Remsen, Mr. and Mrs. Norris N. Hawkins, Gregory and Nancy Jane of Seney, Mr. and Mrs. Lorvan L. Hawkins, Jimmy and Jeffrey Scott of Ireton, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Roggow of Gregory, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Roggow, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Roggow, Vilas Roggow and Darlis Roggow of Burke, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Ewin, Linda, David and Diana of Seney, and Leslie and Terry King of LeMars. King family reunion in 1981. The King descendants gathered Sunday, July 19, at Calvary United Methodist church basement, LeMars. Hy-Vee catered a roast beef dinner. The family came from far and near to enjoy the fellowship of relatives. Present were: Mrs. Elva Hawkins and Norris Hawkins, and Mrs. Ferne Tindall, LeMars.
