Need help:
My name is Warren Johnson and I am working with the Swedish Genealogy company, ArkivDigital www.arkivdigital.net with a goal to photograph and preserve the church records of Swedish-American churches in Southwest Iowa. I worked with ArkivDigital in 2017 to capture over 30 churches in eastern Nebraska and those records are now online for the subscription-based service from Sweden. ArkivDigital would like to include SW Iowa churches in 2018. This is just a quick note to find a good contact of two in the area who would like to see these records preserved and made available on ArkivDigital. Please visit the ArkivDigital site to learn more about this wonderful company. You can search Nebraska, Kansas, and Minnesota to see the Swedish-American church records that are now online. The records are in full color and the quality is very good compared to the microfilms of the 1970s. Page County Bethesda Lutheran Church Faith Evangelical Covenant Church St. John Lutheran Church Fremont Lutheran Church Emmanuel Lutheran Church Please note: The filming is done on-site and at no cost to the congregation. One or two days of filming can get the job done. Each church will receive a copy of every image taken. Warren Johnson Omaha, NE Phone: 402-333-0629 Email: wejohn1@outlook.com |

Query: |
Willis and Polly are my great great grandparents. I follow them to Page County from Missouri in the 1850 Census. Willis is a farmer with 3 children, Polly (Bailey) Philips is listed at that time. By 1860 she is no longer listed and there are 5 children, David being the youngest. Susannah is my great grandmother and she marries Garmore Black in Page County on Sept. 15, 1864. Then W. Jefferson and Polly disappear. Have they died? Moved on? That’s what I am looking for. Burial, Civil War. Just something to know what happened to them. Thanks, Susie Baldwin - baldwin541@charter.net [Sep 2016] |
