CHARLES M. REDMON and CARRIE MERCER REDMON

    Charles M. Redmon, son of Francis and Marinda Redmon, born in Pilot Grove Township, Sept. 30, 1875, married March 7, 1906 to Carrie Mercer, born near Elliott, Nov. 6, 1884, daughter of Charles and Georgian Mercer. They lived near or in Elliott all of their married life. To this union three children were born: Duane, George and Margaret.

    Mrs. Redmon died in Elliott, Iowa, Feb. 12, 1964. She served many years as officer of the Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, Elliott Research Federated Club, and other Civic and Service organizations.

    Mr. Redmon died March 22, 1966. Before retirement he was engaged in the Hardware and Farm Equipment business. He had served as officer of Masonic Lodge and other Civic and Service organizations. Surviving children are Margaret Lantz of Belleair, Florida, and George Redmon of Tekamah, Nebraska.
