PLATZ

    Jacob Platz (1856-1948) was born in Switzerland. He came to Elliott when thirty years of age, a skilled watchmaker and repairman.

    Myra Isbell Platz (1866-1943), was a native of Illinois. They were married July 23, 1887 near Avoca. They were the parents of five children: Esther (Vannordstrand), Martin, Lula (Arveson), Flossie (Webster) and Harold.

    Mr. Platz was janitor of the Elliott school for 24 years. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1937.
