PECK
William and Belle Peck came from Lee County, Iowa in 1880. They
lived on a farm in Pilot Grove Township, Montgomery County until
1895, when they bought the farm 1 1/2 miles east of Elliott. They
were the parents of nine children: Mrs. Pearl England, Mrs. Cora
Marshall, Mrs. Hattie Thomas, William, Elmer, Hermon, Mattie, Lily
and Clarence.
Hermon was born on this farm, and has lived there all his life. He
now owns the farm. Hermon and Hazel have a daughter living in
Elliott, and a son Lloyd lives on the place. They have five
grandsons, Robert, William, Russell and David Peck, Lloyd Smith; and
a great-grandson Michael Smith.
