ELMER CLAUDE MILNER
Elmer
Claude Milner was born Sept 17, 1872 in Montgomery Co., Iowa. He was
the son of Ephriam P. and Agnes (Dujardin) Milner.
Jessie May Stennett was the daughter of Hugh Lewis and Samantha
(Martin) Stennett. She was born Oct 29, 1879 in Montgomery County.
She attended grade school in Montgomery County and Normal Training
in Red Oak, Iowa. Jessie taught country school for several years.
Claude
married Jessie May at the home of her parents, Dec. 31, 1902 in a
very beautiful home wedding.
They
farmed their entire married life in Montgomery County. Five children
were born to this marriage: Russell Lewis, born Sept. 14, 1904;
Hazel Clare born Nov. 23, 1906; Marion M. born Feb. 10, 1910; Gerald
Ivan born Oct. 1, 1913 and Ada Marjorie born Jan. 31, 1917. All were
born in Montgomery County.
Russell
Milner married Mildred Rush. Six children were born: Dorothy,
Donald, Mary Ann, Richard, Gordon and Larry.
Marion
Milner was married to Miriam (Botts) Woods. They have one son, Gary
C. Woods by her previous marriage.
Gerald
Milner was married to Lou Edwards. Three children were born:
Barbara, Bobby (deceased) and Jerry.
Marjorie
Milner married Kel Carson. One child was born, M. Kel Carson.
E. C.
Milner died July 15, 1919 in a hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, and
Jessie May died in Clarinda, Iowa. They were both buried at
Hillside, Elliott.
