Brede Wamstad was a Representative from Mitchell County, and was born in that county on April 17, 1878. He attended the rural schools and later the St. Ansgar Seminary and Institute. He graduated from the normal course in 1899.
Brede married Catherine Rone on June 29, 1905, of Worth county, Iowa; they had one daughter, Constance. He was appointed deputy county auditor for Mitchell County in 1903.
He has been actively engaged in farming since the spring of 1906; has served as Representative for Mitchell county during the thirty-ninth, fortieth and fortieth-extra general assemblies. He was reelected as a Representative in 1926; and is a Republican in politics.
Brede is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran church.
