History:
Typed note written by Frank Underwood dated 20 August 1954: "The Crain Cemetery was deeded to the dead by one Jacob CRAIN who had made the first land claim in that district. On the 19th day of October 1861, deeded 1 1/2 acres to the dead for religious and burial purposes. There are 30 bodies buried there, among them 2 Civil War soldiers: Frank CRAIN, son of the donor of the yard, and Frank WHITE, a nephew of CRAIN. Most of the graves have markers."
