Mahaska County Death Records
Mahaska County began officially recording deaths in 1880. Bound volumes of Death Records can be examined in the Recorder�s Office of the Mahaska County Courthouse. Official records are incomplete for the years 1919-1921. Death Record Books dating from 1880 through 1931 are available on microfilm from the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. This microfilm series can be also be accessed through the Iowa State Archives in Des Moines: Iowa.
