1. In Holstein War Mr. Schoen was engaged in following Battles, Hoptrug 26 Jul 1848 - holding 23 Apr 1849 - where he received a gun shot wound in the leg; the Battle of Stotert 06 Jul 1850 and was made 1st Sergeant of Company I.

2. Ind Civil War U.S. Mr. Schoen participated in Battles of Pittsburg Landing and Shiloh.
