1. Find the gravestone on iowagravestones.org

2. Note at the bottom of the transcribed inscription, the Section and Row number.

3. Find that section row in the map below.

4. Notice - Section J does not have consistently linear rows from north to south. Many stones appear to be half way between rows. You may have to check rows on both sides of your designated row to find your relative. The cemetery census reported 20 rows for Section J. For you convenience, the map has 20 parallel grid lines where the rows should be had they been evenly spaced.
