1930 SENIORS

Seneca Seniors Put on Class Play.

Seneca, May 20.  Special:  The Senior Class of 1930 presented their class play to the public Thursday and Friday evening of last week at the Seneca school house.  The play, “I’ll  Explain Everything,” a comedy in three acts, was well put over.  The cast of characters was as follows:
Henry Becker, cashier of F. S. Bank . . . . . Arnold Anderson
Valentine Scott, Becker’s friend and advisor . . . . .  Lyle Schuler
Montgomery Wash, Pres. of Federal Trust Co. . . . . . Dan Engessor
Walt Daw, advertising man from Los Angeles . . . . . Howard Bollig
James Darby, English, Henry’s brother-in-law . . . . . Paul Crowley
Gerty Becker, Henry’s wife . . . . . Winifred Scully
Ada Becker, Henry’s cousin . . . . . Florence Helmke
Jean Darby, Henry’s sister . . . . . Esther Halverson
Dr. Blair, a doctor . . . . . Mabel Horman
Stage Manager . . . . . Lyle Osborn

There were also a few musical  numbers given before the rise of the curtain.  The orchestra played a few selections. Between acts a chorus of girls and the cast sang a “Heigh Ho” chorus.  Forest Christensen and Sadie Potter, accompanied by a chorus sang “Mud Pie Days.” The Rain chorus by Harriet Jensen and the finale with the senior class song closed the evening.  A very large crowd attended both evenings and the Play was a huge success.

Mary Lenihan.
This is the largest class to be graduated for several years from this school.
