Susan Ruby was the mother of Millicent Ruby Smithart 1829 KY - 1854

Washington county KY,1853 - 1889, book #976.9493 P28sa page 21, William Smithart, son of John Smithart & his wife Milly Ruby deceased, guardian/settlement; 26 Sept. 1859, guardian-Montford Peter, mentions amount received from estate of Susan Ruby (K-297). Page 21, Mary Frances Smithart, daughter of John Smithart & his wife Milly Ruby deceased, guardian/settlement; 26 Sept.1859, guardian-Montford Peter, same for James, Martha, & Sarah Smithart the other children of John & Milly, mentions Susan Ruby's estate ( K-295, K-296, K-297). Susan Ruby estate sold two slaves. One negro man, Silas, for $1,000.00 age 31 and one negro girl age 12 for $700.00. Page 21, Susan Ruby, administer/settlement, 26 Sept 1859, administrator- Montford Peter (K-298). Page 51, Susan Ruby, age 61 in 1850, born in N.C., admin/settlement, 29 March 1866, 21 May 1866, administrator-Preston Peter, administrator of Montford Peter who was administrator of Susan Ruby, 9 heirs receipts filed for: Eliza J. Ruby, wife of Joel W. Coslow, for Ruby & Joel Coslow her children; John Ruby, son of Susan; Elizabeth Ruby, wife of Mr. Basham; Margaret Ruby, wife of Edward Burris; sons of Susan & William Ruby - George Ruby, James Ruby, Vardamin Ruby (deceased), to Vardamin's wife Mary Burris Ruby Perkins the now wife of Stephen Perkins; Amanda J.& James Montgomery; and Milly Ruby Smithart heirs.

Last Will and Testament of Theresa Malone Parke:

Know all men by these presents.

That I, Theresa Malone Parke, of the age of 58 years of Van Buren township, Keokuk County, Iowa,being of sound mind and disposing memory do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament hereby revoking and all former wills by me at any time heretofore made, to-wit:

Item 1. It is my will and I direect that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my estate as soon as may be convenient after my death.

Item 2. I will, devise and bequeath all the rest and residue of my property of whatsoever kind and description both real and personal property unto Kate Elnora Thompson, Ida Myrtle Thompson, Jessie Ann Butler and Minnie Clara Ann Parke share and share alike.

The above foregoing instrument was thus signed and declared by the said Theresa Malone Parke as and for her last will and testament in our presence and we at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other have sighned the same as witnersses thereto.

Last Will And Testament of W. J. Parke.

October 27th, 1911

I, W.J.Parke being of full age and of sound and disposing mind do make and publish this to be my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills heretofore made by me.

lst. After my death I desire that my Just debts and funeral expenses be first paid.

2nd. I give and bequeath unto my neice Minnie A. Parke the following described real estate situated in Keokuk County, Iowa to wit: The NE. 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section Ten Township 76, Range 12 Absolutely & in fee simple and all my furnature & household goods.

3rd. I will and bequeath unto my neices Minnie A. Parke, Ida m. Thompson and Kate E. Thompson the following described real estate situated in Keokuk County Iowa to wit: The SE 1/4 of the WE 1/4 of Section Three Township 76 , Range 12, in fee simple share & share alike.

4th. I will and bequeath unto my brother Lyman Parke the following real estate situated in Keokuk County, Iowa, to wit: The undivided one fourth interest of the S. 1/2 of thee N. 1/2 of NW 1/4 and the N1/2 of the S 1/2 of the Sw 1/4 of Section Eleven, Township 76 Range 12.

5th. I give and bequeath unto Bertha M Parke, Ida M Parke, Marea K Parke the following described real estate to wit: The undivided one fourth interest of the S.1/2 of the N.1/2 of the NW .1/4 and N.1/2 of S.1/2 of the SW.1/4 all in Section 11 , Township 76 Range 12 Keokuk Co Iowa, Share and share alike.

6th. I give and bequeath unto my nephew Sanford M. Thompson the sum of five hundred dollare.

7th I give and bequeath unto my niece Jesse A. Butler the sum of five hundred dollars.

8th. I further will that in case that at my death there gbe not sufficient property to pay the bequests in Paragraphs Nosl 6 and 7 that the same shall be paid out of the real estate devised in 4 and 5 and in equal shares therefor.

9th. All the rest, remainder and residue of my property of whatsoever kind of which I may die seized I will and bequeath unto Minnie A. Parke, Ida M Thompson and Kate E. Thompson, share and share alike. I hereby appoint Ia M Thompson executor of this my last will without bond.
