Wentworth.   Names in BOLD have had photos submitted to the Gravestone Photo Project.  I hope if you are able to visit the cemetery, you will consider taking photos and submitting them.  You can also email me and I can do the submissions for you.  Please email with any corrections or additions as well.

 

In 1853 Isaac Elwood sold one acre in a square to Fairfield School District #3 for a school and public burying ground, for $5.  Ironically, his son, Isaac, was the first burial in the new cemetery. In 1976 it was reported that there were 28 gravestones.  The newest burial reported at that time was that of John H. Speigel, who was buried in September of 1909.
