McNamara-Vollmer

Miss Mary McNamara, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pat McNamara, of Ida Grove, and Bryce Vollmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vollmer of Holstein, were married at Sioux City last Saturday, returning to Ida Grove Sunday to notify their relatives.  They will make their future home in Holstein, where the groom is in the restaurant business.  They expect to move into a residence in that town about February 15.
Mrs. Vollmer is a popular and talented Ida Grove girl, who has spent her life in this community, graduating from Ida Grove high school in 1920.  Subsequently, she attended Boyle's Business college in Omaha, and took a position as bookkeeper at the Central Roller Mills, upon her return to Ida Grove.  Mr. Vollmer is an excellent young man and has been in the business some time at Holstein, having formerly attended Ames college.

Christy - Jinkerson

Friends here have received announcement of the marriage of Louise Jinkerson and Alfred T. Christy, which was recently announced at their home in Decatur, Illinois.  The marriage took place at Cassville, Missouri, July 4, 1937.  They are makeing their home in Decatur, where Mr. Christy is employed by the Lester Super Service Oil Company.

Norma Jinkerson Weds Missouri Man

Rev. and Mrs. H. R. Jinkerson, 1612 N. Main Street, Decatur, Illinois, today announce the marriage of their daughter to Densil Williams of Crane, Missouri.  Mr. and Mrs. Williams were married quietly in Ozark, Missouri, July 20, 1934.  The couple will live in Crane, where Mr. Williams is in the drygoods business with his father R. H. Williams.  Rev. Jinkerson, the brides father is the new pastor of the Church of God, at Decatur.  Mr. and Mrs. Williams spent last week in the Jinkerson home, returning to their home in Crane, by way of St. Louis.

Wedding at Elk Point Revealed

Miss Norma Jinkerson, younger daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Raymond Jinkerson, was married Thursday, September 3 to Perry LeVasseur, at Elk Point, South Dakota.  The young woman left home that morning ostensibly to visit the young man's mother at Sioux City.  The bride is a well known Ida Grove girl and a member of this years junior class in high school.  Her husband who has been making is home with his mother and a married brother in Sioux City, was employed on Ida Grove part of last summer, being an expert welder with the gas laying company. At present, he is station at Rockwell City in similar work.
The young people intended to keep their marriage for a few more days, until Mr. LeVasseur obtained a vacation to come to Ida Grove, but his was taken suddenly ill, Saturday with appendicitis and was taken to the hospital for an emergency operation.  Before this was performed she asked that her husband be informed and in this manner the happy news became known. Mrs. LeVasseur came through the operation in good shape and is making a satisfactory recovery.
