Membership Changes
2011-12: All remaining members of the league (Alta-AureliaNewell-FondaSioux CentralSt. Mary's, Storm Lake, and Laurens-Marathon) leave the conference to join the Twin Lakes Conference. The league disbands.
2010-11: Alta and Aurelia consolidate to form Alta-Aurelia. The new school remains in the league. Membership decreases to 5.
2009-10: Schaller-Crestland consolidates with Galva-Holstein (Western Valley Activities Conference) to form Ridge View. The new school plays in the Western Valley Activities Conference. Membership decreases to 6.
2008-09: Pomeroy-Palmer is absorbed by Pocahontas Area (Twin Lakes Conference). Membership decreases to 7.
2007-08: Laurens-Marathon joins from the Twin Lakes ConferenceSac City consolidates with WLVA (Twin Lakes Conference) to form East Sac County. The new school plays in the Twin Lakes Conference. Membership remains at 8.
2004-05: Albert City-Truesdale is absorbed by Sioux Central. Membership decreases to 8.
1996-97: Newell-FondaSt. Mary's, Storm LakePomeroy-Palmer, and Schaller-Crestland of the disbanding Coon River Valley Conference; Sioux Central and Albert City-Truesdale of the Cornbelt Conference; and Sac City and Alta and Aurelia (of recently split Alta-Aurelia) of the Twin Lakes Conference form the Northwest Conference. Original membership is 9.
