STUDENT COUNCIL |
---|
The Student Council, the executive branch of the student body, was organized for the purpose of unifying all student organizations under one control, to aid in the internal administration of the school, to foster sentiments of law and order, to promote the general activities of the school, to develop in the student a growing appreciation of membership in a democracy by providing the educative responsibilities of, and privileges of participating in, such a democracy in the school. This body is composed of eight members: two from the senior class, two from the junior class, and other four members are the four class presidents. The regular meetings were held once each month during school hours, the second Friday of the month being set by the group this year. The Council set up seven standing committees, which are as follows: annual, social, financial, publication, library, assembly, and athletic. At the meetings these committees gave reports to the Council, thus being responsible to this executive body for its work. |
