This is the second annual that has been published, and instead of being printed, some of the typing students typed it to save money.
STUDENT COUNCIL
The student council was reorganized this year after disorganizing for two years. The officers, juniors and seniors, are elected by the student body, and the other four members are the class presidents. The council very ably sponsors the various activities within the school.

Duane, being one of the victims of the mumps, was unable to participate in the district contest. The contestant from Charles City, who won second place in the sub-district, was therefore eligible for the district, where she placed first. |

A change was made from the former plan of issuing the Tom Thumb Times. Instead of dittoing individual copies for each student, the paper was printed in the Elma New Era. This plan saved both time and money. |

Monte has to produce wife when Grandpa arrives, so he borrows Lucy, a transaction to which Tod objects strenuously. Quarantined for smallpox! Desperate attempts to escape bring about a humorous climax. But the biggest tragedy of all was Grandpa's forgetting to kiss "his little Lucy" -- he actually did!
