Tyler, Lois W. 1919 - 2002Memorial services were held for Lois W. Tyler, 83, at the First United Methodist Church on Thursday, January 17,' 2002. The Rev. Joyce DeToni-Hill officiated the service. Cremation had taken place under the direction of Bustard’s Funeral Home and Crematory. Lois died January 11, 2002 at the Life Care Center of Casper, Wyoming. ' . ’ ' She was born June 26, 1919 in Riceville, Iowa, the daughter of Samuel and Emma Louise (Shaler) Tyler. He was the superintendent of schools. ‘ After graduating from Iowa State Teacher’s College, she began her teaching career in Casper in 1947. She touched the lives of many second-graders at Garfield, Grant and Evansville schools before her retirement in 1985. She loved to travel all over the world. A lifetime member of the Wyoming Retired Teacher’s Association and Beta Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Mary Martha Circle of FUM Women and Fort Caspar Chapter No. 4, Order of Eastern Star. ; . Survivors include a brother, Sanford of Chester, Iowa; her caregiver, Blossom Williams and eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Warren Tyler.
