ABILENE, KS - Verna E. Schott, 89, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002 at Enterprise Estates Nursing Home, Enterprise, KS.

Funeral Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29 at the Danner Funeral Home, Abilene, KS with Pastor Ray Mai officiating.

Interment will be in the Abilene Cemetery, Abilene, KS.

Verna was born Aug. 24,1912 in Waucoma, the daughter of Herman and Delia (Reissner) Lange. On Feb. 14, 1935 she married E. Paul Schott near Waucoma. Most of their married life was spent in Iowa and Colorado before moving to Abilene in 1964. Verna had been a nurse's aide at the Abilene Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Abilene Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Pauline (Werner) Monnich, Herington, KS; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one sister, Ruth Wiedenmann, Monona.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, E. Paul, in 1980; a brother and a sister.

Memorials may be given to the Abilene Trinity Lutheran Church or Enterprise Estates Nursing Home, sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home, P.O. Box 758, Abilene, KS. 67410.
