Mack, Amelia L. 1987 - 2002NEW HAMPTON Amelia Lyn Mack, 15, New Hampton, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002 at the Methodist Hospital, Rochester, MN after a lengthy battle with leukemia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6 at Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Center, New Hampton with Reverend Carl Schmitt officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Carroll Cemetery, rural Bassett with Scott Phillips, Tim Phillips, Don Caspersen, Ryan Moetsch, Joshua Beckman and Derek Wisner serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 a t Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home, New Hampton where there will be a "Time of Remembrance" at 7 p.m. Further visitation will be an hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Amelia Lyn Mack was born March 18, 1987 in New Hampton, the daughter of Doug and Angie (McGrane) Mack. She was baptized at St. Joseph Catholic Church, New Hampton. She attended the New Hampton Public School through eighth grade and was currently a sophomore at New Hampton High School, where she was active in volleyball, basketball, track and many clubs. Amelia was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia in January of 2002. After a brief remission, she had a relapse. On Oct. 4, 2002, she had a bone marrow transplant and developed complications, post transplant. Amelia enjoyed movies, music and being with friends. Survivors include her parents, Doug and Angie (McGrane) Mack, New Hampton; two sisters, Amanda Mack, New Hampton and her fiance Steve Badger, Eldridge and Andrea Mack, New Hampton; maternal grandmother, Shirley Daleske, Tucson, AZ; paternal grandmother, Gloria Johannaber, Fredericksburg; maternal great-grandmother, Helen Sullivan, Cresco and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding her in death was her paternal grandfather Lorris Mack; maternal grandfather, Earl McGrane and an uncle, Patrick McGrane.
