Leibold, Linus W. 1943 - 2002WAUCOMA - Linus W. Leibold, 59, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002 at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo after a short illness. A Funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Waucoma with Rev. Marvin Salz as celebrant. Music was provided by Mary Dietzenbach as organist accompanying the St. Mary’s I Church Choir. Hymn selections I included "How Great Thou Art", "Here I Am Lord", "Amazing Grace" and "On Eagle’s Wings". Lector was Margaret Riha and Lois Langreck and Theresa Sc a 11 an were eucharistic ministers. Gift bearers were Jessica and Nicholas Winter and Chelsey, Nichole and Kayla Fagle. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waucoma with Bill Hruska, Jr., Mark Leibold, Matt Langreck, Brian Hruska, Mark Langreck, Mitch Langreck, John Bittner and Mike Bittner serving as casket j bearers. Honorary casket bearers were Florian Langreck, Francis Bouska, Dan Riha, Francis Scallan, Jack Treloar and Don Treloar. Linus William Leibold was born May 14, 1943, the son of Cletus and Pauline (Bohach) Leibold in Decorah. He was united in marriage to Linda Langreck on Aug. 2, 1969 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, Lawler. He owned Leibold Motors and the Bulk Plant in Waucoma for many years and then extended the service to Bear's Mini Mart. He was also a bus driver for Turkey Valley Community School for 33 years. He was a longtime fireman and council member for Waucoma. He was a member of St. Mary’s Rosary Society, Knights of Columbus and National Order of Foresters. He enjoyed fishing, sporting events, weekend get-aways in Minnesota, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include, his wife, Linda; three daughters, Ann (David) Winter, Elkader, Nancy Leibold, Decorah and Sally (Dan) Fagle, Fayette; five grandchildren; his mother, Pauline Leibold, Waucoma and one brother, Roger (Sandy) Leibold, Ft. Atkinson. Preceding him in death was his father and grandparents.
