Huffman, Ann nee Boeding nee Lueke 1917 - 2002NEW HAMPTON - Ann (Boeding) Huffman, 84, New Hampton, died Thursday, March 21, 2002 at her home from a heart attack. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 26 at St. Mar£s Catholic Church, New Hampton with Rev. Carl Schmitt as celebrant. Concelebrating will be Rev. Marvin Salz. The pall will be ^placed on the casket by her five daughters. Music for the service will be provided by Ann Bennett as organist, Colleen Busta as vocalist and the St. Mary's Choir. The offertory gifts, will be presented by granddaughters, Pamela Sabelka, Marilyn Schmitt and Kara Messersmith. Eucharistic ministers are Ron and Marlene Wenthold.. Interment will be in St. Luke's Cemetery, St. Lucas with grandsons Ron Kerian, Tom Kerian, Paul Pecinovsky, Kevin Wenthold, Keith Cro-att, Kevin Croatt, Paul Sabelka, Jason Huffman, Ryan Huffman and Andy Messersmith as pallbearers. Visitation was from 3-8 p.m. Monday, March 25 at Hugeback Funeral Home, New Hampton with a 4 p.m. combined Catholic Order of Foresters and Rosary Society Rosary, a 7 p.m. Scripture Service and a 7:30 p.m. Video Memorial Tribute. Ann was born Nov. 22,1917, the third child of Martin and Frances (Knobbe) Lueke in Burnstead, ND. After the sudden death of her mother and infant sister Elizabeth in 1919, Ann came to live with her godparents, uncle and aunt jHenry and Anna (Lueke) Best and - their children, Rose, Barbara, Teresa and Frank. Ann attended St. Luke's School and Church in St. Lucas. On Aug. 17, 1937 she married Joseph Boeding at St. Luke's Church, St. Lucas. Joe and Ann farmed with his father Herman and brother Arnold and wife Hermina for nine years before moving to a farm 1 1/2 miles south of St. Lucas. Joe died in 1975 from cancer. Ann spent the next seven years on the farm enjoying her family, grandchildren, baby-sitting for area children, traveling, gardening and flowers. On Sept. 30, 1982 she married LeRoy Huffman and moved to New Hampton. She survived cancer and surgery in 1985. LeRoy died on March 9, 1992 from cancer. Ann was a former member of the St. Luke's Parish, presently a member of St. Mary's Churcn and Rosary Society, the Catholic Order of Foresters and a member of the New Hampton Legion Auxiliary. She had a collection of dolls from all over the world. Survivors include five daughters, Frances (Dennis) Pecinovsky, Cresco; Elaine (Dave) Croatt and Mary Jo (Joe) Sabelka, all of Lawler, Ruth (Jim) Huffman and Karen (Bob) Messersmith, all of New Hampton; one son-in-law and niece, Ron and Marlene Wenthold, Ossian; one niece, Linda Baumhover, Carroll, one nephew, John Eischeid, Omaha; 34 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren Preceding her in death were her parents; her godparents; her husbands, Joe and Roy; a daughter, Arlene Wenthold; a son, Eugene Boeding; a grandson, Kenny Wenthold; a son-in-law, Dan Kerian; a brother, Rev. Clem Knobbe and two sisters,. Mary Eischeid and Elizabeth, in infancy. Also preceding her in death were cousins with whom she was ised, Rose Lusson, Barb chtenberg and Frank Best, as weil as many sisters and brothers-in-law.
