NASHUA - Edward Harris, 75, Nashua, died Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at Waverly Municipal Hospital, Waverly of natural causes.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m Friday, April 26 at the Republic Community Church, rural Ionia.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua.

Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 25 at Chenoweth and Son Funeral Home, Nashua and will also be one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Edward was born Nov. 8, 1926 on the family farm in Chickasaw County, the son of Mel and Blanche (Feuchtwanger) Harris. He graduated from Nashua High School in 1944. He married Bonnie Lee Branstetter on Aug. 14, 1949 at the Republic Community Church, rural Ionia. He farmed until 1991 and then did carpenter work until 1999.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne, Lincoln, NE and Kiel (Lynne), Fredericksburg; three daughters, Anita (Jim) Atterbury, Greenfield, IL, Edette (David) Dresko, Longs, NC and Shureen Hoffman, Ionia; seven grandchildren; one treat-grandson; three sisters, Ethel Zipse, Fredericksburg, Florence Martin, Nashua and Mildred Christensen, Janesville and one brother, Calvin, New Hampton.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Bonnie, in 1996 and one son, Kevyn, in 1964.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
