WATERLOO - William Lowell Carney, 85, formerly of Waterloo, died Sept. 5 in Danville, KY of natural causes.

Graveside Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at Pinhook Cemetery, Bremer County.

Lowell was born June 18, 1917 in Fredericksburg, the son of William Henry and Carrie-Maud Taylor Carney. He was a retired ironworker.

Survivors include two sons, Mike (Karen), Phoenix, AZ and Steven (Robin), Dallas, TX; two daughters,

Carol (Dennis) Warren, Mesa, AZ and Diane (Tom) Catlin, Fullerton, CA; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Grace (Bill) Starr, LaPorte City and Lemena Dickman, Clarksville and a sister-in-law, Marcella Carney.

Preceding him in death were three brothers, Clair, Burton (Arlene) and Melvin (Barney); five sisters, Bernice (Glen) Sullivan, Leona Carney, Mildred (Tom) Parson, Helen (Ted) Heideman and Harriet (Leslie) Jensen and a granddaughter.
