CENTERVILLE BOY DIES IN FRANCE
Member of Co. D Dies of Wounds Received While in Action
Centerville, April 22--Still another Appanoose county boy has paid the
price in the bath of blood in France of March 5, to which Company D of
Centerville was subjected.
Frederick Young of Company D died April 13 of wounds
received while in action, according to word received by his family here
Friday night.
This makes five Appanoose county boys who have died in France, either
having been killed in action or dying from wounds received.
Four Appanoose county boys have received the French cross of war for
valor.
