Glassford: I, Nancy D. Glassford of sound mind and memory, mindful of the uncertainty of life, do hereby make this my last will and testament. To Wit: 1) I desire all my just debts to be first paid including my last sickness and funeral expenses. 2) I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter H. Belle Criner the sum of six hundred dollars ($600.) to be first paid out of my estate. 3) I give devise and bequeath unto my husband John W. Glassford the right to use occupy and enjoy all my land situated in Charleston Township, Lee co., Iowa for his natural life only provided that if said John W. Glassford should remarry all his interest in said land shall thereupon cease and determine. 4) Subject to the foregoing bequests, I give devise and bequeath unto my children H. Belle Criner, Mary E. Hancock, and Bertha L. Britton and to my grandson Byran G. Britton all the rest, residue and remainder of my property both real and personal, including that which I now own and am possessed of and that which I may hereafter acquire and be possessed at the time of my death.
