Phillipson, lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids, died at his home following a brief illness. Mr. Phillipson was born in Cedar Rapids March 18, 1865, and was married to Minnie O. LeGore in November, 1894. Mrs. Phillipson died March 25, 1916. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. C.V. McRoberts of Minneapolis, Mrs. J.A. Niswonger of Portland, Oregon, and Miss Alice Phillipson of Cedar Rapids; a son, Thomas L. Phillipson; a granddaughter, Mrs. Joseph Hronik; and two sisters, Miss Amelia Phillipson and Mrs. R.F. Smith, all of Cedar Rapids. Phillipson passed away at her home five miles south of Cedar Rapids. Mrs. Phillipson for many years had been an invalid. Mrs. Phillipson was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James LeGore, pioneer family of College township and residents of Cedar Rapids. She was born January 6, 1874. In 1892 she was married to Frank Phillipson, and to them five children were born, one of whom died at an early age. Burial will be at Baker Cemetery.
