THE SIOUX CITY CAVALRY

1861 - 1864

 

General Sully said of this Unit, "A better drilled or disciplined company than the Sioux City Cavalry can not be found in the regular or volunteer service of the United States."

November 2012 = 151st Anniversary Year


We thank this unit and the Troopers who comprised the 1863 Prairie Army for bringing Peace to Northwest Iowa, Western Minnesota and the Dakota's.
