Leon, Center Twp. Board Approved Compensation and Funds for DepotThe Decatur County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Mar. 17. The Board agreed to use Federal Funds to restore the Leon Depot that houses the County Engineer's office. The funds are from federal (STP) funds.The hearing on the county budget was held with no objections to the proposed budget by officials or the public. The fiscal year 2003-04 county budget was adopted. The Board approved by resolution the recommendations of the County Compensation Board for the increase in salaries of county officers. The County Attorney and Sheriff received a 5% and the Auditor, Recorder, and Treasurer received a 3% increase. The Board of Supervisors received a 2% increase. See minutes in this issue. A resolution to address the control of musk thistles on lands in the county was approved with specific orders listed. Assistant County Engineer Keith Hinds and the Board met with a representative of Jerico Services regarding calcium chloride applications for control of dust on gravel roads. 3-26-03 |
