The May Day Frolic held at the North School grounds last Thursday afternoon, attracted a large crowd and everybody enjoyed the most delightful entertainment very much. The Frolic opened with a parade by the grade children. A pony cart beautifully decorated and drawn by a number of girls in costume headed the procession. The procession was led by JERALD STONE as "King of Seasons." MISS HELEN GAMMIL sang "Welcome Sweet Spring Time" in her usual charming manner and then came the crowning of the May Queen by the flower girls. MISS CLARA NAUMAN made a most charming queen.

Then came the dance by the Spirits of Spring which pleased the big crowd immensely. The primary pupils of both the North and South Schools then presented their games, the first being "I See You." The little folks certainly delighted everyone. "Kinderpolka" by the first and second grades, "Chimes of Dunkirk by the first and second grades, "Kulldansen" by the second and third grades. "Bleeking" by the second and third grades. "Gustaf's Skal" by the fourth grades, "Klappdans" by the fourth and fifth grades. "Mountain Polka" by the fifth, sixth and seventh grades, the May Pole Dance by the fifth, sixth and seventh grades and then the races by the pupils of the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh grades, came in the order mentioned.

Every number on the program aroused the greatest enthusiasm and the pupils received a generous amount of applause. The races were greatly enjoyed too. There were straight races, a sack race, a three legged race and the antelope race.

Everybody enjoyed the Frolic for it was fine. MISS MIDA BRADLEY, Supervisor of Music in the Leon Public Schools, was the directing head of the Frolic. MISS BRADLEY and the teachers, who so ably assisted her, deserve the greatest credit for the success of the affair.
