Decatur County Journal Leon, Decatur County, Iowa Thursday, November 14, 1912 POSTMASTER STOOKEY INJURED. Postmaster Millard F. Stookey has been confined to his home ever since a week ago last Friday night. He was going home when he placed his crutch on a knot in a board and it broke through with him, throwing him heavily to the ground, and spraining and bruising his crippled limb so that he has since been unable to get to the postoffice, but is slowly improving. ADOPTION. Friends of Dr. and Mrs. Fred A. Bowman were greatly surprised to learn last Friday that they has a new baby girl at their home, and the report proved true. They secured the little one, who is now four months old, in Kansas City, and will legally adopt her.
