TOWNS/CITIES OF IOWA PAST AND PRESENT
Davis County
The below list of towns/cities includes every town/city, past or present, as well as the County in which they were located. A town/city that is listed twice, or in some cases three times, does not mean that there was a town/city by that name in each county. It means that the town/city listed, lies on the border between counties and extends into the other county, or counties. If you know of a town/city that does not appear on this list, please let us know and we will add it. For example: my Grandmother was born in Levy, Iowa, a small town southeast of Des Moines and it was not on the original list so I have added it. Also shown are old Post Offices which appear as (P.O.). The list is presented alphabetically by town/city name, and then alphabetically by County then by town/city name. Some towns were found with different spellings and both spellings were included in the list. Please note this list is copyrighted and requires the authors written permission to reproduce it in any way. Any errors or questions about this list should also be brought to our attention for correction. Thank You!
