COUNTY FEDERATION SEEKING INFORMATION

A Committee composed of Mrs Clay Headrick, chairman of Sixth District Iowa History and Landmarks committee, Lena Ford Leon acting President of County Federation, Mr D H Payne, Pioneer Resident, Mr H C Brown, Co Supt of Schools, have been appointed by the chairman of the Iowa History and Landmarks Department of the Iowa Federation to gather and preserve the history of Davis County. This county is rich in tradition and history that it should be preserved. Our pioneers are falling one by one—let us then collect these stories while we may and preserve them for posterity. These pioneers can not all be reached thru our clubs therefore we urge some member of each pioneer family in the county to get the facts from the oldest member of the family and arrange them in story form and send to the chairman of this committee. Any landmarks of interest in your neighborhood should be recorded so if you know of such kindly inform chairman, Mrs Clay Headrick, Bloomfield. -Thursday, Jan 17, 1924, Bloomfield Democrat
