Alumni Department

     Price Doyle, '14, is in the Quartermaster Department, Bakery Co.  He sailed for France the 5th of January.

     Paul Ingram, '12, as soon as he had enlisted spent three months in quarantine and after taking an examination was assigned to a position as clerk in the adjutant's office.  At present he is in San Antonio in the Trades Division, Aviation Corps.  He expects to be transferred soon.

     Oscar Thompson, '15, one of Iowa's Field Artillery men, enlisted Apr 9, 1917 at Des Moines.  He was stationed at the fair grounds, Des Moines, until October, when he was transferred to Camp Cody.  Oscar writes that no actual training has taken place there, because there are no large guns.  He expects to be transferred April 1st.

     Fred Hagar, '14, is a Fortress Monroe, Virginia, and is captain of the Sanitarium Department, 24th Balloon Squad.

     Albert Muir, '12, is at Camp Fremont, California, in the Headquarters Co., 83d U. S. F. A.  He expects to go to the Philippines soon.

     Arthur Ross, '09, received his B. S. and M. D. degrees at the University of Nebraska and will enter the service as a physician.  He has been examined and was accepted and is now at home waiting to be called.  He expects to receive a commission.

     Howard Edmonson, '15, is first lieutenant and is stationed at Rockford, Ill.,  He expected to take up observation balloon work soon.
