Know ye, That Jerome Goodsell a Private of Captain Limeon N. Eldridge Company, (D ), Sixty first Regiment of Massachusetts VOLUNTEERS, who was enrolled on the Fifth day of September one thousand eight hundred and Sixty four to serve one year, or during the war, is hereby Discharged from the service of the United States, this Fourth day of June 1865, at Near Alexandria V. by reason of Obedience G.O. No 26 Hd. Qus. A. of P. 17th May 1865.

[No objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist.*)

Said Jerome Goodsell was born in Jolliett in the State of Illinois, is Twenty Three years of age, five feet 6 1/2 inches high, Light complexion, Grey eyes, Dark hair and by occupation when enrolled a Carpenter.

Given at Near Alexandria V. , this Fourth day of June 1865.
