State of Iowa vs. Belle Luense, Jury returned a verdict of Guilty. Defendant sentenced to one year in the penitentiary and to pay costs. Motion for a new trial overturned. Notice of appeal.

Myrtle Luce plead guilty to indictment and was sentenced to one hour in jail and a fine of $10 and costs.

John Stransky, the Guttenberg burglar, plead guilty and was sentenced to the penitentiary for seven and one-half years.

Sheriff Benton went to Anamosa Monday taking to the penitentiary Louis Tromblee who plead guilty to the charge of forgery and was sent down for six months.

State vs. Chas. Kellogg. Defendant plead guilty of larceny from building and was sentenced to six months in county jail.

State vs. Wm. Schlee. Defendant plead guilty to vending medicines without a license. Fined $100. and costs.

Sheriff Benton, assisted by Frank Boyle, of McGregor, left Monday for Anamosa with the following prisoners: Wm. Harvey, assault on Marshal Prindle and Frank Boyle, of McGregor, with the intent to commit murder, four years; John West, enticing a girl under 18 years of age, nine months; Andrew Curry, grand larceny, seven months.

State vs Jack Sperry, defendant plead guilty to the charge of gambling and was fined $110. and costs. To be confined in jail until paid.

Mike Zimmer, of Buena Vista, under indictment for fraudulent charges in bridge building, plead guilty and was fined $50. and costs.

Wm. Tiedman, charged with the stealing of a gun near Guttenberg, plead guilty and was sentenced to a term of one year in the penitentiary at Anamosa.
