The sixth child of Peter Burns Purman 1st & Nancy A. Woods, John was born in 1866 and died December 12, 1947. Burial is in Mt. Harmony cemetery. He married Annetta White. She died in Texas where her son Ernest lived. John & Annetta's children were Jeanette, Mae, Ernest, Lee, Raymond and Mary. The last three all died as young children and are buried at Mt. Harmony cemetery. |

Mary Purman, daughter of Peter Burns Purman I and Martha Brookshire, was born November 26, 1870. She taught school for a number of years before getting married. 1893 she was teaching in the Dingesville school, Mallory Twp. The photo was taken when she was teaching at this school. In 1897 she was married to Marshall Bollman at Garber. Mary died July 18, 1956 at Lemon, South Dakota. |
