Fred Franck Family

Fred Franck and Winnie Bierma were united in mar riage near Truro Feb. 24, 1910.

Fred's father migrated from Germany at the age of 21 and, after marrying, homesteaded in Nebraska. Winnie Franck's parents migrated from Holland.

Shortly after their marriage, Fred and Winnie settled in McCook, Nebraska, where he was employed as a dreyman. Winnie was employed at a restaurant in McCook. After 2 years in McCook, they traveled to Iowa in a covered

 

wagon and settled on the Donner farm 3 miles northwest of Murray. Here they spent approximately 25 years. They took much pride in raising fine horses.

Fred and Winnie were the parents of two sons­Robert and Charles.

Robert was united in marriage with Ruby Gaumer. They are the parents of one daughter­Lana.

Charles was united in marriage with Lucille Beaman. They are the parents of one daughter and one son, Vicki and Fred.
