Gael W. Davis was one of twin sons born to William R. & Florence Davis, March 18, 1901. His parents and his twin brother, Glen preceded him in death. Gael was married to Meda McComas, and one son, Loraine Spencer, was born to this union. Meda McComas Davis died in April, 1962. He later married Viola Selsor Galvin, of Murray, Iowa.

A longtime produce operator in Murray, he was also employed by the Iowa State Sec. of Agriculture. In 1965, Gael & Viola opened the Davis Variety Store in Murray and continued to operate it to the time of his death, February 25, 1968.
