Wm. Bell and wife, Louisa, with their son, Henry V., entered land in Ward Twp. in the fall of 1851. Their youngest child, Ulysses McClellan married Cora E. Robinson May 5,1891, in the Erastus Robinson Ward Twp. home just west of the stone quarry. On the next day Clell

 

George and Ermina Robinson farmed their lifetime in Ward Twp. Uncle George Robinson went to the Iowa State Fair and purchased Registered Hereford bull calves and built up purebred Hereford cattle business. He also owned and kept a registered stallion for himself and neighbors. Upon the death of George Robinson at the age of 75, in July 1924, the bulk of the



& Cora Bell established their farm Home ou Bell land joining Murray on the east. Four children, Wm. Raymond, Florence M., Ralph McClellan (Tom) and Eunice M. (Johnson), Denver, Colorado, were born. Livestock and community upbuilding were their work.

 

Robinson Registered Hereford cattle were purchased by Clell Bell (his brother-in-law), Frank H. Johnson and Ben Redman. These cattle were foundation stock of the Bell and Johnson herds. George Robinson and wife and Henry Robinson and wife are buried in the Murray Cemetery by their parents, Erastus and Peggy Robinson.
