The above station was purchased from Mr. Arthur Scholl on Jan. 6th, 1926, and operated as a battery, gasoline and tire service station. The station was just north of the Allen Bottle Gas and Plumbing building, on what now is a junk yard. In April of 1926 we purchased a Model T of Afton, Iowa. This truck had a 318 gallon tank on it and gasoline and kerosene were hauled from Afton. We were really in the oil business for sure.
