The name Arnold was first established in Murray business in 1904 when S. P Arnold with his son, C. W. Arnold as helper, started a Pumps, Windmills, and Lightning Rod busi­ness. A few years later a line of Farm Ma­chinery was included. In 1912 the implement Business in Murray was purchased and the first

In 1916 a new son, Charles appeared on the scene. Through the years of his growth to manhood a Pump and Windmill business was operated by C W. During this time plumbing and heating was added. After finishing his schooling and military service Charles, with

 

 

 

 

partnership of Arnold & Son was formed. In 1914 S. P. Arnold sold his interest to his eldest son, L. E. Arnold, and the firm name was changed to Arnold Bros. Later, due to failing health the implement business was sold. C. W. Arnold worked for the new owner for a time.

 

 

 

 

 

his family, returned to Murray and a new firm of Arnold & Son was formed. Electric Sales and Service was then added to make up the firm which is presently operating. Today, Arnold is by far the oldest name in the Murray Business directory.
