Date when this "Iron horse" puffed through Osceola for the cameraman is not recorded. But in the early days of the narrow gauge railroad which ran from Des Moines to Cainsville, Mo., through this city, seeing such engines as this was common. Depot at that time was at the present site of Langfitt Elevators. The depot was a favorite loafing place and many tall tales of the early days were retold, and keen interest was taken in train arrivals, freight shipments, etc.
